Santa Fe Film Festival to screen ‘The Psychopath’

Iranian short flick ‘The Psychopath’ has made its way to the Santa Fe Film Festival in the US.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Wednesday that ‘The Psychopath’, directed by Reza Javanshir, will be screened at the 2022 edition of the US event.

The mystery film is about a young girl named Maryam, a theater actress and secretary at an art institute.

On her engagement day, Maryam was alone at the institute, but she has been embroiled in a crisis after the arrival of a stranger to the place.

The Santa Fe Film Festival is an annual event that “honors everyone working both on and off screen to bring the best of film creation, production and showings to the public”, the website of the event reads.

It “focuses on bringing together distinguished industry specialists and all movie lovers” through accessible screenings, panels, and workshops.

The upcoming edition of the Santa Fe Film Festival will take place on February 3-13.
